KNUTH recommends bed-type milling machines for heavy workpieces. The large and very robust machine bed allows for both complicated single-part productions and batch productions for serial manufacturing of several smaller workpieces. Furthermore, the micro-adjustable swiveling cutter head allows for complex machining applications at various angles. In combination with the rigid on X and Y traversable machine frame, it provides increased accuracy. The standard position indicator and coolant system ensure superior machining results. Optionally, bed-type milling machines can be equipped with accessories like a hydraulic machine vise.
